What else is possible?
This is a great question to ask when you’re in the process of shifting your reality. Don’t you think? And, you’re not even thinking about the question, actually, you’re playing with it, gently, almost like blowing the filaments of a dandelion puff into the open air, releasing it to the elements. Can you feel it? Can you just imagine the energy of being outside on a perfect spring day, as you sit in the grass, maybe on a blanket, allowing yourself to feel the warmth of the early afternoon sun, and the wind is caressing the side of your hair ever so gently, you might take a deep breath as you take in this feeling of tranquility and ask yourself: what else is possible?
I love that statement.
Today, I played in the energy of Access Consciousness, a modality that helps you stay in the question, and apparently, by staying in the question, you are able to shift your point of view, to open up to new possibilities and new potentialities in your life. What if our point of view limits us? Is our point of view the same thing as perception?
Now there’s a question for readers to answer. What do you say, are you up for the challenge?
You see, what I am learning in my 30-day challenge is that there are so many way to change your life. And along with all the self-help books out there, many of which I think are truly inspirational, there are an equal number of teachers telling you their way really works, and yes, I’m sure it has worked for them. And maybe it will work for you. But how do you know? Where is the guarantee? How do I know as a spiritual seeker that I am on the right path? Is there a right path?
This is what I have noticed. I quite like my point of view. I have often said to people that I am completely open-minded about their spiritual path because by the very definition of a spiritual path, it is their choice. So you may say, I don’t have a strong point of view. I see Oneness in all of creation, and in all ways of being. However, I have a very strong point of view when it comes to something that means a lot to me.
Just for the sake of this discussion, let’s say that I have a perspective that Princess Diana, really was the Queen of Hearts, and in my book, she is irreplaceable. As it happens, this is what I believe to be true, and I am not going to allow anyone to change my point of view on this. As a matter of fact, I have stopped dating men, well, at least on one occasion, when the man in question, didn’t agree with me that Princess Diana had huge significance and purpose in the world. I didn’t feel that I wanted to be around someone who held such different values to me.
I am just saying that it is very easy for us to get attached to our point of view. It’s rather like holding something in a sacred space – whatever it is – the pain of our childhood, a self-righteous belief. And as long as we elevate these beliefs to that of a ‘sacred cow’, so to speak, guess what? We are continuing to give our point of view incredible significance.
It seems to me, a little like the chicken and the egg question. Which came first?
Is our world the way it is because of the choices we make or is our world the way it is because we give significance to the choices we make?
Let me know what you think. Can you access that consciousness?
